Top 5 Hand and Nail Products

My hands and nails get battered through constant washing, so I need good products and tools to keep them looking nice.

Here are my top five recommendations

Vaseline Healthy Hand & Nail
This is the best daytime moisturiser as it's not greasy and sinks in really quickly. You can get this in a travel size that's perfect to pop in your handbag, or a larger tube for at home. I've used this for years and probably bought upwards of ten bottles, so it really is a well loved product!

Garnier Intensive Restoring Hand Cream
A thicker and more intensive cream, that is better for night time to help restore and replenish. I do find this quite thick and greasy so I would only use this last thing at night. But, it has helped my hands when they've been horrendously dry!

Essie Apricot Care Cuticle Oil
Apply this to your cuticles and massage in to help bring moisture back to your nails. I love using this before I cut and file, or any time I feel my cuticles are a little dry. The great thing about this product is that you can just apply it to the cuticle and nail, so the palms of your hands don't get oily.

Leighton Denny Crystal Nail File
Normal nail files wreck my nails, so for years now I have used a crystal nail file. This one cost about £12, which seems a bit expensive I suppose but it lasts forever, doesn't snag your nails and leaves a lovely smooth finish.

Tweezerman Stainless Steel Cuticle Nipper
For any dry bits of skin around my cuticles I use a cuticle trimmer to snip them off. It leaves your hands looking a lot nicer but I also find it helps my oils or moisturiser to sink in better...perhaps I'm imagining it, but it would make sense as it's like exfoliating dead skin (sort of!).

Have you got any product recommendations?
