Eleven Months Old | Baby Update

With each month that passes I find it harder and harder to write these updates. I think it's because so much changes all the time that it's difficult to remember.

Breastfeeding and weaning
He only feeds at bedtime now and throughout the night. I know the night feeding needs to but cut out, but its the best and easiest way to comfort him when he wakes, so I can't bring myself to take it away yet.
This is how his eating schedule usually looks:
6.30-7 - Breaskfast
10-11 - Snack and milk after his nap
12-1 - Lunch
2-3 - Milk after a nap
4-5 - Dinner
6 - Breastfeed and sometimes a 1oz bottle of milk with calpol if he's grouchy (sugar free of course)

The last week has been so, so bad!! I'm not sure whether he's going through a developmental sleep regression or whether it's to do with teething, but he's been waking up 5-10 times a night for the past 7-10 days. I've had him in our bed a lot to help comfort him, but he just doesn't seem to be able to relax. He shuffles about, does little screamy shouts, and if he does fall asleep and you wake him by mistake...oh boy are you in trouble!!!
His sleep schedule has usually been like this the past month:
6am - Wake up
9-9.30am - Go down for nap
10-11am - Wake up
1-2pm - Go down for nap
2-3pm - Wake up
6pm - Bedtime

Points at things and babbles.
Stands by himself for 5-10 seconds.
Loves walking with his walker or anything he can push along.
Tries to make people laugh by throwing things off the highchair.
Screws up his face when throwing things off the highchair because he knows there will be a loud bang.
Is putting things into boxes now rather than just pulling everything out.
Clapping...he took a while to learn this. He would bang objects together but refused to copy anyone clap.
Waves and says 'bye bye'.

What he loves
Cheese, croissants and water
Stacking cups
Push along toys
Things on the ceiling

What he hates
Having his teeth brushed
Calpol from the syringe
Having his face or hands wiped
Getting changed for bed

What keeps me sane
Cups of tea
Organisation. At the moment I've been organising our house so that everything has a place and can be found quickly.

I can't believe it's just over three weeks till James turns one! It's gone unbelievably fast and while I'm excited for all that is to come, I'm sad that my baby is turning into a little boy!
Speak to you soon
