How to Survive Sharing a Bedroom with your Baby

Every night when my husband and I go to bed, we quietly creep into the bedroom. I place my drink on the bedside table, plug my phone in and ever so slowly get into bed! It's all going to plan...there's no movement from the cot, the baby is still fast asleep. Phew!! If only it could go like this every night!

James is almost eleven months old, and I moan about sharing a bedroom most every day now! I do love being so close to him, but having to creep in each night in the dark and cough into a pillow is a bit of a pain.

Today, I thought I'd share with you some tips that have helped us.

Planning a First Birthday Party | Peter Rabbit Theme

Pinterest is the home of inspiration for me, so for James' first birthday that was the first place I headed to for ideas!

The second I saw pictures of Peter Rabbit parties, I was hooked on the theme. There are so many different and easy ways you can decorate your garden or home!

Combating Oily Skin and Large Pores | Spring Skincare

It is now officially Spring, so I thought it was time to do another skincare post.

With the warmer weather approaching (and my changing hormones), my skin is getting slightly oilier so I've added in a few products to keep blemishes and large pores at bay.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Mask
This contains Salicylic Acid to exfoliate dead skin cells and can be used as a face wash or a mask. It's definitely one of my all time favourite products because it is just so cheap and does a bloody good job at clearing up blemishes! The only downside to it, is that it can leave my skin a little dry or irritated if used too often.

How to Introduce Lumps and Texture to your Baby | Weaning

Adding lumps and texture to your babies purees can sometimes be a challenge as they've been used to a purely liquid diet for so long.

They may cough, splutter, gag and then spit everything back out at you.

This is how I introduced James to texture from about 7/8 months:

The Miracle 360 Trainer Cup by Munchkin

I feel like I need to start by saying, I bought this with my own money! I know I myself can be quite sceptical with reviews nowadays, but in this case, I just felt like writing about a product that I quite like...

What is the Miracle 360?
- A 100% leak and spill proof cup that has a 360° design, which allows drinking from anywhere around the rim.
- The fact that it is spout free means it is better for teeth, supports normal muscle development in your child's mouth and helps the transition to a regular drinking cup.

At eleven months, play has become so much more fun! It's lovely to watch your baby explore and learn about the world. Almost everything fascinates and intrigues them, but these are the toys James is really loving.

Eleven Months Old | Baby Update

With each month that passes I find it harder and harder to write these updates. I think it's because so much changes all the time that it's difficult to remember.

Top Five Baby Books | Ten Months Old

I love to sit down with James and read books, but he does get fed up quite quickly at the moment so the story has to be short.

In this post I've put together his five favourites that really capture and hold his attention.
