Coloured hair needs a lot of love and care, especially when you have bleach put through it. I always have a number of different treatments on the go to bring my blonde hair back to looking salon fresh.
Here's what I'm loving at the moment...
Lush Marilyn helps to brighten blonde locks by using chamomile and lemon juice. It says to smother half the pot on your hair before getting in the shower and leave on for 20 -30 minutes, then shampoo off and condition as normal. I never use that much because the cost per treatment would be ridiculous. Instead, I prefer to put enough to cover the top layers of hair (the layers the sun would hit) and leave for up to an hour, some people say they leave it longer. I find it just helps to brighten as the sun would do in the summertime! But, because lemon juice can be quite harsh I don't use this too often.
Bed Head Tigi Dumb Blonde Reconstructor contains wheat, soy, keratin and Pro-Vitamin B5 Complex to reconstruct and protect damaged hair. You can use it as a conditioner or leave on for 5-10 minutes to get a deeper treatment. This leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft and smelling like tropical fruits.
Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment is another protein based product that helps to protect the hair from breakage. You're supposed to use this from root to ends, which is what I've always done and it never leaves my hair feeling greasy - just soft! I used to use this in the past alongside the shampoo from this range and I did feel it helped increase hair growth...whether it was me imagining it, I don't know! But, this is a lovely treatment for a fair price.
TIGI Catwalk Fashionista Violet Mask contains violet toners, pearl extract and rice milk to help blonde hair reflect light and enhance shine. I love this treatment for neautralising brassy tones as the violet isn't too intense and doesn't leave your hair looking ashy/purple!
