Lighting the Home for Christmas

I couldn't help myself... Once it hit November, the weather got colder and the evenings got darker, I decked our flat out with a lot of mood lighting.

The first set of lights I picked up were from Primark. They're a battery operated string of 20 LED's and I bought them for £1.50. They look lovely twisted round a vase or on a mantelpiece. I actually went back and bought a lot more of these!

Another set I bought from Primark, are these rose gold glittery baubles that I've placed in a kilner jar. They sit in the top right corner of our kitchen and look so pretty in the evening.

This next set of snowflake lights are from Ikea and sit on the back of our bed.. You buy the LED lights seperately (£3) and add on the decoration - the snowflakes cost £4. I don't get to have these on much as we share our bedroom with James and he's asleep by about 6.

Another set from Ikea are these rose gold bells with stars cut out of them... These are like the lights above, where you buy the LED lights seperately.

The last set of lights are from John Lewis. They're tiny little snowflakes on wire and they give off a very cool toned light.

I've also got through a lot of tealights. I love the atmosphere that comes from candlelight....As I wrote this my husband was moaning that everywhere he goes there are candles - Haha!! The snow covered house I bought last year from John Lewis but they have similar designs in this year as well.

Have you begun decorating for Christmas?
