Red is such a classic and beautiful nail colour. It can instantly transform your look and leave you feeling glamorous.
I prefer to wear red most of the time as it always makes me feel less dreary.
So, I thought I would share my three most used shades with you all...
Nails Inc. St James
A Pillar box red that has a blue-ish undertone to it - best for cooler skin tones. The brush is a good size, spreads the colour beautifully and only needs one coat for the perfect finish. I particularly love this for my toe nails.
Essie describes this as a bright candy cane red - a more yellow based shade. It has a slightly thinner brush, so I find this works better on my fingernails. You could get away with one coat, but for the perfect opaque finish I would suggest two.
OPI The Thrill of Brazil
This has been in my nail polish collection for years. This is an orange based red so may work better with warmer skin tones or when you have a tan. I have an older bottle of this which has a thin brush, but I think most OPI polishes are now sold with the Pro Wide brush. Again, I would suggest two coats for the perfect finish.
What red nail polish would you suggest?
