Obviously I'm quite far into my pregnancy now and I really wish I had have done these updates earlier on. I've read so many other blogger's pregnancy updates over the years and always really enjoyed reading them even though I wasn't pregnant.
How far along? 35 Weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: I have put on 28lbs, so that's two stone exactly. I started out at 8st11 and I am now 10st11.
Maternity clothes: Up until about 28 weeks I was able to wear my normal jeans with a bump band, but they then started to get really hard to walk in because there just wasn't enough give in the material. Since then I have been wearing maternity bottoms all the time, except at night because tracksuit bottoms in my normal size still fit. Over the past few weeks the bump has grown quite a lot, meaning that some tops I was able to wear before are just far too tight and I don't particularly want to stretch them...so for the most part I'm in maternity tank tops and t-shirts.
Stretch marks: I've got very slight marks on my boobs, but they're underneath and very faint pink so don't really bother me. On my tummy I can see that around my belly button I may end up getting some as the little bump packs on his weight over the next few weeks. After I've had a warm shower there are pinkish marks just round my belly button that disappear once I've massaged in bio oil.
Sleep: I haven't got any pregnancy insomnia, but I do wake a lot in the night in quite a lot of discomfort. Basically everything aches when I wake up!
Best moment this week: I had a growth scan last week as my bump was measuring small, but he was perfectly fine and weighed 4.5lbs. It was so nice to see my little man again, as the last scan I had was at 20 weeks!
Miss anything? This is going to sound weird, but I miss my Joni jeans from Topshop. I have lots of pairs and absolutely adore wearing them. I also miss sushi, wine, sleeping on my back, runny eggs and proper exercise.
Movement: All the time! I felt him move from week 16, but now it can sometimes actually hurt.
Food cravings: I want different foods everyday...but it's never seemed that different from pre-pregnancy. Lots of people ask me about this, but I'm boring and have had no weird cravings!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Labor signs: I have a lot of braxton hicks, particularly when walking the dog or cleaning the house. As this is my first baby I'm not sure whether there are any other signs that I could just be missing.
Symptoms: Back ache is constant at the moment and it's hard to get comfortable. I also get heartburn occasionally, am starting to look a bit puffy, get breathless and feel the need to pee when I don't really need to.
Belly button in or out? Out.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but my fingers do get a bit swollen at times.
Happy or moody most of the time? A mixture of both I guess. I don't necessarily feel hormonal though, in fact pregnancy has done wonders for my moods - I was really badly affected by my hormones after coming off the pill.
Looking forward to: Going out for my hubbies birthday this weekend and enjoying the free time we have before our little man arrives. I just wish the back ache would calm down a bit as it's making everything harder and I just want to be getting lots done!
