The Coral Primark Blouse

I've never actually thought about buying a backup of a top before...until I purchased this blouse from Primark.
It is the perfect coral/peach shade that actually makes my skin, hair and even my mood brighter!

At £8 it's not one of the cheapest tops you can buy from Primark, but it doesn't exactly break the bank. And the quality is nice enough that it won't fall apart within the first wash.

There are racks full of pretty blouses in Primark at the moment in a variety of different colours and prints. So if you're not too keen on this one, there's bound to be something in a style you like!

Flawless and Long Lasting Everyday Makeup Routine

Working all day without the chance to get to a mirror means I need makeup that I know won't budge and will look flawless all day long! In particular I like my skin to look perfect and almost doll-like.
I've been testing out different foundations over the past few weeks and there is only one that truly lasts the day...

Revlon Colorstay (Oily/combination). It's a matte foundation that gives medium/full coverage.

I've been using it with L'oreal's Smoothing Resurfacing Primer and this makes the foundation go on smooth and stops any caking. It doesn't necessarily make the foundation last any longer, but you really don't need it to!

L'oreal Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer
Revlon Colorstay Oily/Combination Foundation - Sand Beige
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer - Light
Rimmel Silky Loose Face Powder
Sleek Contour Kit - Light
MeMeMe Blush Me - Pink
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow - RSVP
Too Faced Natural Eye Palette - Silk Teddy, Push-up & Heaven
L'oreal Super Liner - Carbon Gloss
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara
MAC Hue Lipstick

What's your favourite foundation that lasts the day?

Neom Happiness Candle

"A Sparkling blend of White Neroli, Mimosa and Lemon is combined with natural fresh grass notes to create the awakening of spring."

I could not have described the scent of this candle better. When lit I feel as though I'm sitting in a field of flowers with the sun shining down on me! It's a glorious blend of natural ingredients that truly captures the smell and feeling of spring.

I'm usually a big fan of Yankee Candle, however no scent I've bought from them compares to the fresh, crisp scent of the Happiness Home Candle. It contains:
  • No paraffin wax
  • No synthetic scents
  • No black smoke
  • No toxins
  • Only natural wax and pure essential oils

This candle is perfect for a relaxing evening on the sofa or after a hard day at work. It would also be great if you were having friends round as it really freshens up a room!

The only downside is the £37.50 price tag. However it does give up to 55 hours burn time and only needs to be lit for a short amount of time but will keep a room fragrant for hours.

I've now got my eye on the Serenity Candle which combines Vanilla and Sandalwood - two of my favourite scents.

The Trooper

I've managed to get three days off for this weekend which is absolutely amazing! I haven't had two days off in a row in what feels like to get three is like a dream come true!

I thought I'd post a couple of 'going out' outfits this weekend as I don't feel like I've posted many in the past. As I usually go to Rock/Metal bars my outfit usually consists of a metal tee and shorts or jeans! But to add a slightly more glamorous touch I decided to wear my faux fur jacket from BooHoo.

Hope you're all having a fantastic Friday night!!

Back To Metal

It was my day off today so I was able to get back into my metal tees which makes me very happy indeed! I've worn this Metallica Jump Into The Fire t-shirt to death over the past couple of months and I love it for a number of reasons:
1. It's white which I much prefer to the usual black metal tees available
2. It has a worn/vintage look to it, and
3. It's the perfect size (men's small) that's comfortably loose/casual

It was also the perfect warm day today so I got my legs out for the first time this year - woop!! Unfortunately I hadn't fake tanned the night before so had to wear sheer tights, which is very precarious for me as I'm so clumsy and usually end up snagging anything below about 40 denier within an hour.

On a completely separate note, if you know of any nail product that really helps peeling/splitting nails please leave a comment below. I've had to cut my nails so short as they keep splitting at the ends and none of my usual remedies (Solar Oil and OPI Nail Envy) are working. So if you have any recommendations I'd really appreciate it!

Stripes and Pearls

I just got back from one of the most stressful days at work! My Manager was off today and it's only the second time I've run the shop on my own. In a way I love the stress and the pressure because it's never boring, but I'm really looking forward to my day off tomorrow. I've booked a hair appointment as my roots are well overdue and then I've got a couple of other errands to run, but in between I might pop into Primark :P

I actually wore this outfit over a week ago but I've been so slack with blogging (as I'm sure you've noticed) that it's taken a while to post it.

Since starting my new job I've had to branch out with my style a bit as most of my edgy/rock clothing isn't necessarily appropriate. I'm quite liking the fact that I'm not sticking myself into a category as much! It's fun to play around with your style!

Jetting off!

I'm going away for the weekend, but wanted to quickly post an outfit and update you guys!

I heard back about the job I applied for, and have been offered an even better position than I had hoped for...which I am insanely excited and shocked about! While this is fantastic news I have no idea how easy it will be to regularly post on here and make videos, but sometimes being busy makes me more productive :)

Anyway, I've recently been getting back into wearing more interesting outfits than my standard jeans, converse and hoody - which is great for blogging purposes! I think winter gets me stuck in a rutt as it's so cold all the time that I just want to layer up. So, for any of you who asked for a video on 'how to style a rock t-shirt', I hope this and some upcoming posts will help.

I love rock/metal style, but always like to add a girly touch to my outfits.

So, mixing glamorous faux fur pieces with rocker/edgy boots and tees is the perfect combination for me...

Some MAC and Nars lipstick swatches!

I posted a 'What I got for Christmas' video a while ago in which I showed all these lipsticks, and I promised to make a blog post with some swatches....
So here it is...
Nars Barbarella (Sheer)

Nars Dolce Vita (Sheer)

Nars Pago Pago (Sheer)

MAC Sandy B (Frost)

MAC Angel (Frost)

MAC Pervette (Glaze)

MAC Saint Germain (Amplified Creme)

MAC Please Me (Matte)
Nars lipsticks

The sheer formula of the Nars lipsticks is so creamy and smooth, but as the name suggests the colours aren't that pigmented. However, they can be built up to produce a slightly deeper colour. I believe Dolce Vita can also be bought as a lip gloss which is a much more pigmented colour.

MAC lipsticks

MAC's Angel and Sandy B (frosts) are both creamy and smooth, however I find the glitter particles can dry out the lips slightly more than Pervette, which is a glaze. I find the glaze formula feels lovely and smooth on the lips and I'm starting to like it more than cremesheen, which can be a bit slippy. As for Saint Germain (amplified creme), I love the colour (when applied slightly sheerer than photographed) and the formula helps to keep the colour bold. However, I actually find Please Me (matte) keeps my lips softer and the colour looks AMAZING for hours!!

What's your favourite Nars or MAC formula?

Laid back grunge with a hint of Pink!

As you may have noticed I haven't blogged in a LONG time. I'm not gonna reel off a ton of reasons as to why, but I've been using any spare time I had to make videos instead of blog.

Also the lighting where I normally take photos is so rubbish at the moment - these photos were actually taken back in October! I've been trying to photograph outfits up in my room, but I don't like the way the background distracts from the clothing.

I've gotta be speedy and get this up quick because I've got a job interview tomorrow. So I'm spending the evening preparing myself by painting my nails a nice sheer professional looking pink (OPI Heart Throb) and setting aside an outfit to wear (which I'll photograph). For the past week I've thought over any questions they may ask, but I want to keep my mind clear tonight so I get a good nights sleep!
