Over the past month or so I picked up a few new MAC goodies to add to my ever growing makeup collection. I always try to pick things that are somewhat different from what I've already got, but it's often hard to tell until you get home and swatch the items next to each other.
The first of my goodies were the two Viva Glam Gaga lipsticks. The lipstick photographed on the left is Viva Glam Gaga, and the lipstick on the right is Viva Glam Gaga 2. Unfortunately the UK MAC website is sold out of Gaga 1, but I was lucky enough to find it on Ebay for only £1 more than the original price – Bargain! It's a gorgeous creamy lipstick and is quite sheer seen as it is a Lustre formulation, but this does make the colour much more wearable than you'd expect. The Viva Glam Gaga 2 on the other hand is an Amplified, and therefore gives a stronger pigmented colour. It is also slightly more drying on the lips than Gaga 1, which is to be expected as it is an Amplified.
The next of my MAC goodies is called Lickable and is a Cremesheen. I'm obsessed with Cremesheens as they are so moisturising and yet always seem to have good colour payoff. It is a gorgeous blue based bright pink! The photograph above hasn't picked up the colour as it looks to the naked eye - you can get a much better idea of how it might look on your lips by looking at my swatches which I've included lower down this post.
These two little gems are again part of the Viva Glam range and accompany the lipsticks at the beginning of this post. On the left is Viva Glam Gaga and on the right is Viva Glam Gaga 2. Both are Tinted Lipglasses so are not particularly moisturising or creamy and both become quite sticky after a while which is the norm for MAC Lipglasses. If you want something creamier I would suggest the MAC Cremesheen Glasses or Nars lipglosses. As with the Viva Glam Gaga lipstick I had to purchase the Viva Glam Gaga lipglass from Ebay, and did have to pay slightly more for it at £17! I know it seems silly to pay more, and there probably is a lipglass that looks just like it, but I was suckered in by the fact that it was limited edition and I felt 'I had to have it'...totally ridiculous, I know!
Above you can see swatches of all the lipsticks and lipglasses.

One MAC product that I'd never tried before is pigments. I deliberated for a while over which one to get first, but came to the decision that it had to be Vanilla. Laura AKA Lollipop26 included this in her MAC starter kit video and said that it was one of the best highlighters. I haven't got around to playing with it much yet, but have used it as a highlighter on my brow bone and it looks gorgeous!
So, that's it for my MAC goodies. Let me know of any products from MAC that you think are 'must haves' or that you've purchased recently.
