Love Hate Relationship with Seche Vite

Seche Vite is a a cult favourite among the YouTube and blogging beauty community, and as much as I love the stuff, I don't think it's all that it's cracked up to be!

Most of you have probably already got this or at least heard of it, but for those of you that haven't here's a run down of the pros and cons.

Pros

  • It dries incredibly fast and leaves your nails touchable within a couple of minutes.

  • It leaves a shiny top coat.

  • It's be perfect if you're changing nail polish colour every couple of days.

  • Cons

  • It goes very gloopy after about 10-15 uses.

  • It makes nail polish lift off the nail and has never lasted for me longer than 2-3 days.

  • It's quite expensive here in the UK, priced at between £9-£10.

  • I've heard many good reviews about the Sally Hansen Mega Shine topcoat, and it is slightly cheaper at just under £7. But, personally I like to use Nail Tek's Intensive Therapy II, which keeps my nail polish on for up to about 5 days. It also has the added benefit of protein to help strengthen the nail. Let me know your recommendations for topcoats, I'm always looking for fab new products!
    Have a lovely day girls!

    1. Thanks for the review!

I haven't hopped onto the Seche train yet, because it is quite pricey for a top coat. I'm glad your weren't afraid to point out the negatives since it is such a popular product. I just use China Glaze's top coat. It actually works really well! My polish always lasts at least four to six days. :)
