This winter has been so horrendously cold and my lips have taken a severe beating. I've been searching for ways to get them back to good condition and I thought I'd share some of my favourite products out there at the moment.

After washing my face, I find a plain old wash cloth is great for scrubbing off dead skin. It's so inexpensive and is personally my favourite method of exfoliating. Toothbrushes also work great and give a lovely plumped effect that I find lasts for a couple of hours. I would suggest however, that you don't scrub too hard as you don't want to make your lips bleed.

This Lush Lip scrub is fantastic at removing dead skin cells. Lush is great if you like your products to contain lots of natural ingredients, and this particular product does not have any
parabens in it.

One of my favourite lip balms is the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream skin
protectant. It's not actually a cream but in fact an orange jelly, much like the consistency of Vaseline. At night I like to exfoliate my lips and then slather some of this on. It ensures I'll be waking up to lovely smooth lips.
You can find this online in lots of different places but
http://www.fragrancedirect.co.uk/ have some amazing savings on Elizabeth Arden products.

These Sleek Pout Polishes are great for the day if you want to moisturise your lips but still have some colour. And, with an SPF of 15 included they're great for the summer too.

The last of my top lip balms is Lip Service by Lush, which contains tangerine oil and so smells absolutely divine. To get the balm out you have to warm the product up, so you really have to rub at it. I have to say though it's not the most amazing
protectant when you're out in bitterly cold weather so is probably better when your lips aren't in absolutely terrible condition, but the smell makes it my favourite.
Let me know of any products you love for
dried out winter lips or any natural homemade tricks...
